What’s your favorite recreational activity and why?

Traveling. I’m fascinated by getting to know other cultures, cuisines and types of people. I love seeing history come to life in architecture and art from around the world.

How did you first get involved with the company?

I was looking for a job in which I could put my years of customer service experience to good use. I started off as a phone rep and advanced quickly, learning and growing with each opportunity that presented itself.

What’s your job now?

My title is Knowledge & Training Manager. I lead the Knowledge, Training, and Performance teams within the Customer Service Department. My team is also responsible for internal communications, as well as employee engagement and development.

What’s your biggest professional challenge?

My biggest professional challenge has been learning to keep my perfectionist nature in check. I tend to want to do everything at once, with immediate results. I have learned to slow down and take things one task at a time, giving it the best that I can, and understanding that mistakes are only learning opportunities which will help me do better next time.

What are the top qualities needed to succeed at your job?

I believe it takes a combination of qualities to be successful in this (or any) career. To name a few: fearless creativity combined with a love of learning, the ability to think outside of the box when problem solving, and to not be afraid to innovate and approach a typical situation from a different angle.

What have you learned from your career as a Knowledge and Training Manager?

Working here has been a wonderful experience, filled with all kinds of lessons, both on a professional as well as on a personal level.
